Jason eagerly downloads a retro game to share with his Gen Z roommate, Jasper. His passion for old fighting games sparks a challenge. Jasper, somewhat reluctantly, accepts by taking the second controller, and they dive into the game. Jason’s self-confidence soars as he boasts about his impending victory, causing Jasper’s patience to wane. Needing a break, she fetches some water, only to stumble upon a recently delivered device. Jasper’s excitement gets the best of her, and she decides to test it out on her annoying roommate.
Returning to the lounge, Jason remains engrossed in his game, but he can’t help but mock Jasper for thinking the device could be magical. Undeterred, Jasper playfully suggests trying it out. She aims it at Jason and activates it, causing his reality to twist as he transforms into a hologram, then gets zapped into the TV. Jasper chuckles at her newfound power and takes control of the game, not realizing that Jason is now trapped inside it.
