Caning

If traumatic memories are not addressed, we may remain in panic. We may develop a tendency to interpret our anxious feelings and physical sensations as signs of potential danger. Since fear is highly unpleasant, we may avoid similar situations and miss opportunities to overcome our fears. The more we avoid fear-inducing situations, the more our fears become entrenched. As a result, a trauma loop is created that is increasingly difficult to break through.
