I always wondered why people in hot places drink hot beverages – the Moroccans with their mint tea, the Indians with their chai. I’ve heard that it’s to regulate the body and match the inside to the hot outside. Maybe that’s Wendy’s strategy too – if she can’t cool down, she might as well challenge the night, and beat it at its own game.
